  • MDR is the fee charged by the bank for processing card transactions. It is usually a percentage of the transaction amount.

Daily Operations

a. DO & DON’T

  • Do
  • Handle with care – Place the terminal on a stable, clean surface to avoid drops or dirt.
  • Keep it powered – Ensure the device is charged or plugged in during business hours to prevent transaction interruptions.
  • Check connectivity – Verify network or SIM connection before starting operations for smooth transactions.
  • Clean regularly – Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid liquids to keep buttons and screen responsive.
  • Secure the device – Store in a safe place when not in use to reduce theft or accidental damage.
  • Follow transaction steps – Use the correct process for sales, voids, and batch closures to avoid reconciliation issues.
  • Report issues promptly – Contact support if errors or malfunctions occur to minimize downtime.

  • x Use unauthorized chargers – Only use the provided adapter and cable to avoid hardware damage or charging failure.
  • x Expose to water or heat – Keep away from liquids, sparks, and direct sunlight to prevent overheating or device failure.

b. Sales

    1. Enter the amount and confirm.
    2. Insert/tap the card or scan QR on the POS terminal.
    3. Ask the customer to enter PIN or sign (if any).
    4. Print receipt and hand it to the customer or send e-receipt to customer email (if any).

c. Void (for Card transaction only)

    1. Access the “Void” function on the POS menu.
    2. Select the transaction to cancel and input the PIN
    3. Confirm cancellation before batch settlement.

d. Refund (for Card transaction only)

    1. Merchants cannot process refunds directly on POS.
    2. Action: Call the Merchant Support Hotline at (028) 3821 8888 to request a refund.
    3. Provide transaction details (date, amount, card number, approval code).

e. Inquiry

    1. Real-time Transaction Inquiry
      1. Merchants cannot check real-time transaction details on the POS terminal.
      2. Action: Call the Merchant Support Hotline at (028) 3821 8888 for assistance.
    2. Transaction History Inquiry
      1. Merchants can access and review past transactions through the Merchant Portal provided by the bank.
      2. Steps:
        1. Log in to the Merchant Portal using your credentials.
        2. Navigate to “Transaction” or “Report”
        3. Filter by date, amount, or transaction type as needed.
Settlement & Fees

a. Settlement Timeline:

  • Card transaction
      1. Transactions before 11 PM are settled same day; after 11 PM next day.
      2. Funds will be credited to the company account by 3:00 PM on the next business day.
  • QR transaction
      1. Funds will be credited instantly to company/merchant account.

b. Fees:

      1. Card: Fees are as specified in the signed application form.
      2. QR NAPAS247: No fee

    1. Perform Settlement – Press the Settlement button on the POS terminal.
    2. Keep the Device Powered Overnight – Do not turn off the device after business hours.

Q1: What cards can be accepted and which applications can scan QR?

A1. Debit/Credit cards from NAPAS, VISA, Mastercard, JCB, UNIONPAY can be accepted. Mobile banking applications and e-wallets that support VietQR (Napas 247) are also supported. Installment payment plans are available with options of 3/6/9/12 months.


Q2. Is there any deposit or monthly fee for using KBank máyPOS?

A2. No. There is no deposit fee, no installation fee, no monthly fee, and no rental fee.


Q3. When will the money be paid to my KBank account?

A3. For card transactions: KBank transfers the amount to the registered payment account on the next business day (T+1) after deducting MDR and VAT. For QR transactions: The amount (after MDR and VAT deduction) is transferred immediately.


Q4. Do I need Wi-Fi or buy a SIM card to use KBank máyPOS?

A4. No. KBank máyPOS comes with a pre-registered SIM card, so merchants do not need to buy one.


Q5. Can KBank máyPOS print receipts? How can I get paper rolls?

A5. Yes. KBank máyPOS can print receipts instantly after payment, and KBank will provide paper rolls.

A1. A mobile application to accept credit/debit card (VISA, Mastercard, NAPAS, JCB) and QR NAPAS247 payments via Android devices.


Q2. How to download the app?

A2. Open Google Play Store > Search “KBank Tính Tiền” and install the app


Q3. Which Android versions are supported?

A3. The application supports Android version 10 and later. Your device must also have NFC (Near Field Communication) technology and it must be enabled in your settings.


Q4. How to activate the mobile user account?

A4. Enter User ID, registered email, business registration number, set PIN.


Q5. How to activate Merchant Portal?

A5. Use activation email link; input User ID, activation code, set password.


Q6. Is there any deposit or monthly fee for using KBank Tính Tiền?

A6. No. There is no deposit fee and no monthly fee.


Q7. How to check payment transaction information?

A7. Merchants can view transactions via mobile app and merchant portal in real-time.


Q8. If cannot activate the account/forget PIN or password

Q9. Does the application require an internet connection?

A9. Yes. A stable mobile internet or Wi-Fi connection is required to process payments. Transactions cannot be performed if the device is offline.



KBank QR Soundbox

Daily Operations

  • Keep it powered – Charge or connect to power during business hours to avoid transaction interruptions.
  • Check connectivity – Ensure network or SIM connection before starting operations for smooth transactions.
  • Clean regularly – Wipe with a soft, dry cloth to keep buttons and screen responsive.
  • Secure the device – Store in a safe location when not in use to reduce theft or damage.
  • Unplugwhen fully charged – Helps extend the device’s lifespan.
  • Report issues promptly – Contact support if errors or malfunctions occur for faster resolution.
  • Don't
  • x Use fast chargers – Avoid cables or adapters supplying more than 1A.
  • x Use the SIM elsewhere – Only use the SIM with the Soundbox; otherwise, network connection will be lost.

  • x Modify branding or QR sticker – Changing the KBank branding or QR payment sticker may cause scan failures or customer confusion.

    1. Power On – Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds until you hear the message: “Welcome 4G network mode connection, network connection success.”
    2. The device will be ready for use once the blue light is flashing on the side of the device, and the device announces: “Service connection successful.”

c. Void (for Card transaction only)

    1. Cannot be voided because this is a QR transaction. The funds are credited to the merchant’s account immediately after the customer completes the payment.

d. Refund (for Card transaction only)

    1. Cannot be voided because this is a QR transaction. The funds are credited to the merchant’s account immediately after the customer completes the payment.

e. Inquiry

    1. Real-time Transaction Inquiry
      1. Each successful payment is announced instantly. The 8-digit display shows the amount clearly. You can also check transactions in the K+ Biz VN app.

Q1. Is there any deposit or monthly fee for using KBank QR Soundbox?

A1. It’s completely free – no deposit, no setup fees, and no annual charges.


Q2. Do I need Wi-Fi for the Soundbox to work?

A2. No. The device has a built-in SIM card, so it connects automatically. No Wi-Fi needed.


Q3. How long does the Soundbox last on a full charge?

A3. The Soundbox runs for up to 12 hours on a full charge. You don’t need to keep it plugged in all the time.


Q4. Can I adjust the volume of the payment alerts?

A4. Yes. You can turn the volume up or down directly on the Soundbox to fit your shop’s environment.


Q5. What should I do if I want to change the account for receiving payments from QR code scans?

A5. Please contact K-Contact Center (028) 3821 8888. The SLA is 5 working days (in HCMC) after receiving the completed request form.


Q6. If the device is not usable, can it be returned?

A6. Please contact K-Contact Center (028) 3821 8888 to request replaced with a new one.


Q7. What will appear on this screen?

A7. It will display the transaction amount when the payment is successful, the 4G connection status, and the volume level.

      Note: Card and VietQR payment methods will be enabled when integrate with KBank máyPOS

A1. KBank Merchant is the software-based point of sales which can be managed through website/iOS devices. This point of sales provides business management solutions such as staff management, inventory management, CRM, sales reports etc. to merchants.


Q2. Do I have to pay a fee for using KBank Merchant?

A2. KBank Merchant is provided for free of charge for 30 days (Free trial plan) after registered or free subscription fee if register together with KBank máyPOS /KBank máyPOS mini/KBank Tính Tiền


Q3. Do I have to pay a fee to integrate KBank máyPOS /KBank máyPOS mini/KBank Tính Tiền with KBank Merchant?

A3. No. There is no integration fee.


How does merchant setup KBank Merchant link with KBank máyPOS?

1. KBank Merchant and KBank máyPOS need connect with same Wi-Fi.
2. For KBank Merchant, please change IP address for KBank payment method to: 192.168.1.200
step: Manage → Terminals → KBank POS – Card or KBank POS – QR → Enter Site POS’s IP to 192.168.1.200 → Save
3. For KBank máyPOS, please change IP address to: 192.168.1.200 step:
i. Option menu → Setting (enter password) → WLAN → press and hold on network name → modify network → Advance options → IP settings (Static) → Enter IP address to 192.168.1.200 → Save ii. Option menu → Setting (enter password) → Download Params (enter password)


How does merchant setup KBank Merchant link with KBank Tính Tiền?

1. KBank Merchant and KBank Tính Tiền must be installed on same android device.
2. For KBank Merchant, please set MUID for POS terminal
step: Manage → Terminals → KBank Tính Tiền Card or KBank Tính Tiền QR → Enter MUID → Tap Link (Same MUID for both of KBank Tính Tiền Card and KBank Tính Tiền QR)
